Do you honestly think he's going to improve on McCarthy that much in terms of spending 30m on him?

I think he'd be decent with gueye, then Barry on the bench, but I just find it hard to fathom why we would want to spend that much on him when we have an adequate player in McCarthy

He's completely different to McCarthy and brings something we're badly lacking.

I'd swap him and some money for McCarthy all day long.

What confuses me is I thought Steve Walsh was brought in to find gems that were cheap? That was the whole point surely? Not buying them once they come good at inflated prices?
