Excuse generator

When we inevitably fail to capture any of our top targets it’s important the club is able to justify not spending any money on transfers this summer. Sure we’re in negative net spend once again, but at least we might finish 10th instead of in the bottom half this time round!

I’ve been provided with an exclusive transfer failure excuse generator from the Everton Media Department, so give it a whirl yourself to see what excuses may be rolled out in the coming days!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just pick one of A – F, and couple it up with one of 1 – 6.

A – The transfer was not completed because

B – We were unable to get it over the line because

C – [Player’s name] wasn’t signed, as

D – It was decided not to pursue [player’s name] as

E – There was a last-minute change of heart on the transfer because

F – [Player’s name] wasn’t sold, as

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 – we felt happy with the current options in the squad.

2 – blue Bill didn’t have any 20p coins left to put in the metre, and the fax machine stopped working.

3 – the club we were negotiating with were unable to complete business of their own to allow this transfer to happen.

4 – to us, the transfer didn’t represent value for money.

5 – the player’s salary expectations scuppered any hopes of a deal being struck.

6 – we decided his reasons for a transfer weren’t in our best interests as a Football club.

either everton sign a player that wouldn't even be at the club if a CL club came for him, or at least knowing he didn't want to sign the contract to begin with.

Or we sign a player who is actually a decent fella who hoped to get the move he wanted, didn't, and then took us up because he was interested after all.

All about perception on the matter, hence the question.
You want to sign good players mush? I am not getting your point really.

Gabbiadini done. Just waiting for Napoli to close in on a replacement. Pavoletti the hot favourite to replace Gabbiadini.
Is what the twitter linked article says btw
Yea. I thought that was the one we would get.

He looks a decent player. Good competition and cover for Ross and Rom and will allow us to play Ross deeper in certain games.

This post is utter mush

Koeman said Koeman was staying at Southampton. Has the vape juice addled your brains?
Difference is we offered him more money to convince him and saints planned to sell their first team again.

Now they are his players, and he isn't going to sell players he doesn't want to sell.

Clearly a silly question given the obvious answer.
Is he really going to come out and say, yeah we're selling the lad...
