It is called future planning, it is preparing for the season. How many clubs let older players go and replace them younger? We have just released 3 of them despite the argument being they could still 'do a job' in the squad.

Yes Barry was half decent last year, but so was distin the season before we got rid. And like magic he suddenly went from highly mobile and fit to struggling to keep up with the play. then we were stuck because we had gambled on him still being the same player he was only a few months earlier.

I'm not just pulling this out of thin air, we literally just had a player who went through the exact same thing.

We would be if it wasn't for the 18 or so goal scored by rom last season which won us a lot of those points that kept us up.

I'm very surprised that it is not obvious to you how important Barry was last year. Every time he got the ball, which was like, every forty seconds, he took the panic out of a move going wrong. His influence was massive

You can't just chuck a player out because his legs "may have gone" over the summer break. Especially on the back of a season where was easily our best player.

except for a lot of the games we went on to not win meaning whatever barry was going wasn't really positively affecting us.
