I understand that we lack quality striker options behind big Rom but do we actually need another striker? We've got Arouna Kone, Oumar Niasse and Shani Tarashaj. We still have Leandro Rodriguez and Conor McAleny who are on the books but will hopefully be sold this summer.

I can't see the club moving on Niasse just six months after we paid 13.5m for him, we'd have to move on Kone but I understand Tarashaj will have to work his way up into the first team set up through the U/21's.

Tarashaj plays attacking midfield like barkley and the rest are rubbish so we definitelt need someone else.

He's more of second-striker by all accounts Zat, a bit like Naismith (obviously we hope he'll be a bit better). That being said, and as good as the deal we got for him was, Naismith was outstanding for us at times, when he was played in that pocket behind the front-man.

Ive been told by a mate in switzerland whose seen him olay and knos a fair bit about their league that hes a number 10.

No, I'm very realistic.

Our squad last year was good enough to be challenging for top six. We didn't and it's down to bad management and poor form from the players.

We've got a new manager whose main job it is is to get the players we have back to their best, while also ensuring that we get the quality additions that have been needed for a while to make us a permanent fixture in the top six, which we haven't been since 2009.

And on your first point, of course it is different. Nobody expected Leicester to do what they did. At the start of last season, who would you have rather had on the wings? Deulofeu and Mirallas or Mahrez and Albrighton???
It really wasn't. It wasn't even close to the top 6. Even if you take Leicester out of the equation. Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool and Spurs are all far stronger than we are and have only improved more this summer. e.g. Spurs have signed a 19m backup striker - that's the strength of their bench. Liverpool under Klopp humiliated us and got to a Europa League final. The other 4 are in another league altogether as is shown by the fact our No 1 target is surplus to requirements over there.

We need a lot of money spent to get us competing with those teams.

Yeh thanks to Koeman PSV, Ajax, Benfica & Valencia aren't classed as top clubs in world football anymore. Sound o_O

They wouldnt be if he wasnt quickly replaced. Its well known about AZ Benfica and Valencia.

You cant change history.

Funny seeing people trying to defend our lack of spending.

There is no defence.

We have got Stones still, Jagielka, Funes Mori, Baines, Oviedo, Garbutt, Coleman, Kenny, Browning, Pennington, Holgate, Galloway

Plenty of defenders there

It's the only explanation I can see for our lack of activity when clubs around us are sealing deals left right and centre.

Outside of Chelsea and the Manchester clubs who have strengthened significantly? Liverpool have overspent on a Southampton player again and added a couple of unknowns, Spurs have spent big on a relatively rookie striker, Arsenal haven't done anything, West Ham can't even attract a player back they had on loan when they were rubbish and Southampton haven't really spent the Mane money yet.
