It's interesting with Yarmelenko some people proper convinced he will be coming and others convinced he isn't coming. Has anyone heard anything other than this Daily mail article about him coming.

It's so frustrating that I can read an article linking us to Yarmolenko and get myself crazy excited about it then that same exact source links Romelu to PSG or Real and I instantly write it off as Jarg Journo cows nuts

Argggghhh
Come on Everton ffs pull it out

Anyone else think we should go a second time for Lacina Traore? He's a monster that wins everything in the air and is fast and strong. Deulofeu and him would have a field day.

Imagine him up front with Rom, Deulofeu on the right and someone like Sane or Yarms on the left. Besic as a DM, and a world-class goalkeeper. We are 3 big signings away from title contenders, just think about that.
I know we saw very little of Traore,but from what I remember a monster in the air he wasn't.

Thing is mate both PSG and Real WILL have an interest in Lukaku, but also have 3-4 other big name targets likely on their radar as well, difference with the stories for me anyway is that we had the deal all but wrapped up but for their owner to do a U turn at the last minute so a lot more legs to it than most rumours

Seldom do I quote a media outlet as I massively distrust them, but this article, while some of the players mentioned I'd like to see, seems to have been the journalist simply randomly picking players and a club, and saying "linked with".

I'll quote the Everton part.

Everton keen on Begovic and Montero
Everton boss Roberto Martinez is apparently planning a double swoop for Asmir Begovic and Jefferson Montero.

Chelsea back-up stopper Begovic is kicking his heels behind first choice Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge and could be sold for £5m.

Toffees boss Martinez is also considering moves for Tottenham’s Michel Vorm and Norwich’s John Ruddy, according to The Sun on Sunday.

Swansea flier Montero has fallen out of favour under caretaker boss Alan Curtis and could be allowed to leave this month.

We weren't buying Lakuku, or Del either, so what are you in the know, or just guessing?

Who is Lakuku mate? When did he sign?

Let me ask you a couple of questions

1. when was the last time we spent 'big' in January?
2. when have we ever spend more than 15m without selling someone equal to or more to cover the cost?

I'm not 'ITK' as you like to put it, hardly anyone is (if they were you wouldn't know). It's a conclusion having supported the club since i can remember.

1. 2005 when we broke our then transfer record to sign Beattie
2. Last year mate we bought Lukaku without selling any major player

Linked with;

Goal keepers;

Michel Vorm
Asmir Begovic
John Ruddy

Winger;

Jefferson Montero

I think Montero could be an option for the left, Vorm was great at Swansea, but he is third choice at Spurs behind lloris and Gomes, so I could see that happening.

Wouldnt mind montero. Ruddys utter gash, Vorms a bit meh and besovic hasnt reached the level he was at 2-3 years ago

He is just a top class player all round mate, if Martinez pulls this off will give him massive credit

Perfect move for him as well. Attacking team and positive manager + guaranteed games.

What we need now are top class players like this to come in to take us to another level again.

If there's money left over from the summer would make more sense to use it now before the summer when prices shoot up again

When was the last time we spent big in January? Well there's always a first time for everything.

when have we ever spend more than 15m without selling someone equal to or more to cover the cost?

We've already been very open about possible outgoings in this window, such as Naismith & McGeady, so that's not an issue.
