We're not gonna get the Champion's League so don't know if Stones will stick around even if we somehow get into the Europa League.

Stones is top top quality and you hate to lose your best players. There are factors now that mean we do not have to sell desperately what with new to deal, supposed takeover etc. However I do feel slightly more relaxed If he goes. The reasons being a. We will get top dollar for him, it will be over 50 m plus in my eyes and b. Funes Mori is looking more like a decent PL centre back and would imagine he would be even 'safer' next to Jagielka or a defender like him.

With the TV money we dont need to sell, id keep him and use the money to pay our players bigger salaries.

He's only about 20 grand a week and will have 3 years left on his contract after this season, my maths ain't great but 50/60m would surely buy out his contract

Woh Stones is only on £20k a week?

That needs to change sharpish if we are serious about keeping him.

Well this is depressing lads. Both Stones and Lukaku's threads are talking about what team they're both going to play for next?

We're a goal up in a cup semi final and in a league where a good run would still see us pushing for the top five places...

Do we think with Martinez say no major signing in Jan that

A the takeover wont happen to after the window shuts

B the takeover will happen but they wont give him money to spend

C hes just saying that to keep prices lower

Just my personal opinion although I love stonesey to death he dosent appear happy to be here or if u see the video rom took it dosent look like he connects on a close personal level with other players... He comes across a miserable sod as well

I do think he is the best young CB in the world I just don't think he's a blue and I hope we get to reinvest all the $$ we get for him

Apparently Stones, Coleman and someone else have their own like silly clique so I'm pretty sure he's well integrated into the group.

If Stones and Lukaku do go it will be because they are too good to spend their careers with us.
It's just that simple unfortunately.
Both will end up in the top 3 or 4 teams in the world I reckon.
The only reason Barkley might stay is because he is a blue but I wouldn't bank on that either!
Sorry for the negativity (realism) but until huge investment comes in we can't compete at the very top and players like those mentioned above deserve to play at the very top.
Wishing it turns out different like. Love them all to bits!

just spent actual money on a player and loaned him back so it seems takeover isn't affecting signings
