Look, I'd love Stones to stay but bearing in mind that he's probably not going to £40-50M from Barcelona and knowing that we could keep Geri would be something I'd take.

Yarmolenko would be a real statement of intent and he'd undoubtably improve us. I still can't see it happening though, we're Everton, good things don't happen to us very often.

Mate i don't go overboard on players, but having probably watched Yarmolenko more than most on here have - he is a seriously good player and in no way shape or form a gamble more than any player moving leagues would be - hell even domestic signings can be risky as history has shown us.

As for McGeady comparisons - i said all along when we first got linked with him he was no way good enough having seen him a lot over here

btw the game at Goodison he looked their best player, gave Garbutt a torrid time and also put the assist in for their goal as well, hardly the crap game you seem to remember
