cisse's absolute tosh, he had a purple patch like jelavic, but they've both shown why they never played for any good teams before newcastle and everton moves, because they're not consistantly good strikers.
newcastle have been much better since they dropped ben arfa, sometimes that's just the way it goes.
Krul, Ben Arfa and Cabaye are class. Remy has 8 goals in 9 games.
Debuchy, Coloccini, Gouffran, Guitierrez, Taylor, Cisse, Tiote, Obertan and Sissoko have been highly-rated at one point but aren't playing as well as they can.
Yanga-Mbiwa was in the French league's team of the season and it was a bit of a coup for Newcastle to get him.
Their defence is a big issue though. You're not going to get very far with players like Dummett, Williamson, Haidara and Santon. And their decent defenders aren't consistent, focussed or fit often enough.
They lack depth as well. Ameobi x2, Anita, Gosling, Marveaux and Vuckic are Carling Cup players.
But if Krul can keep keeping them out and Remy can keep putting them away they could keep themselves in contention.
