If you'd have followed that transfer you'd have known as of June 2nd he was off to Barcelona. PSG hijacked it last minute, he told everyone, we're still up to date.

Don't get why some (mainly virgins on football Twitter) are so desperate to claim he's some sort of a fraud all of a sudden, he's only as good as his sources and covers all the big leagues, bound to get it wrong every now and then.

As I understand it, Wijnaldum WAS nailed on for Barca and went back on his word when PSG swooped in at the last.

Re Fonseca: Entirely conceivable, I'd have thought, that at the time of his tweet the rumours WERE rubbish but they appointed Paratici in the meantime and it just so happens the name in the frame was one (of many) that had been mentioned before.
