There is no money to be made on Delph or Bernard or Sigurdsson or Tosun. They're old and bad. No one pays for that.

If this was the case nobody below us would ever buy a single player because they're "bad".

Bad for us can be perfectly acceptable to a team below us.

If it is then we seriously need to question Brands transfer strategy if he is just adding to the pile of deadwood we have instead of clearing it and making the squad better.

You aren't getting over 50 for Kean and we ain't getting 25 each for Mina or Keane.

I agree on the CBs but 50m for Kean is closer to the starting price.

Well of course this still requires you to accept Allan and Doucoure are good players which going off the midfield being inept against a championship quality side yesterday I struggle to do. I like Allan but it wasn't the right player at the right time. Doucoure is straight up garbo.

None of the players I mentioned get into teams below us, or if they do they aren't so much better as to be worth the wages.

Surely, if your job is to play football, and all you do is train and play football, surely if you are played in a certain position for a number of games, you might, maybe pick up a few things? Notice that you need to change the way you do things? Make changes to the way you play?

Or are you simply saying that all footballers should just play in one position and not be able to adapt at all? If he was any good whatsoever he should be able to play out of position to a degree and not stink the place out week in week out?

Yes I'm saying footballers can be played out of position to an extent that makes them useless.
