No but it is a business these days and an £80m sale on a £1.5m purchase is an enormous profit on a player who isn't really top level just yet and there are other forwards about. As for your RW id love us to sign Berardi of Sassuolo he is really good, scores, goes past people, good cross, good passer and can also play upfront.

Well to start with he isn't scoring that in the league yet is he, and also someone like Andre Silva at Frankfurt has scored 25 goals and is 25 and a good all rounder or Alexander Isak who is another good young striker only 21 and scored 14 so far but he has moved about a fair bit and shown he can score goals wherever he has been. There are other players out there. I wasn't actually advocating selling him i just said that from a business point of view i could understand if we did. Also in another post you are mentioning about 'pace/assists/goals from wide areas' that's all fine and well and we do need it but if it's going to be all about chucking crosses into the box for DCL's head then we are going to become very one dimensional and very predictable. What we need to do is keep DCL and for him to adapt his game a bit to be able to take the ball over the top.

He’s not a 20 goal a
Season striker, well in the premier league he isn’t. And that’s how I will judge him.

Im sure he hasn’t got assist either , so that’s something maybe another forward may offer.

I don’t think it’s as black & white. As the people saying they would sell for 80mil are saying they don’t rate him.

Did I want us to sell Rooney, of course not. DCL is different as he still is a long way from that level, my personal opinion is he will never get There.

Leicester got 80 for maguire. Bought Forfna & Soyuncu and now are arguably better off and have 25mil to spend elsewhere.

In an ideal world we go and get a 50mil pound striker to put pressure on him and replace him
when he has a poor few games. At this moment him and Richarlison are starting no matter what. I doubt that changes until we become a champions league team.


Say he finishes on 16 prem goals. And we sell him and kean for 120mil and we buy Koulibaly, bissouma and a striker who only scores 11 goals but gets 9 assists. Would we be a better all round team next season?

Probably get slated for this but how about victor moses for a couple of seasons? 30 years old , winger who can play wing back...wouldn't cost much and we really dont have the depth in wide players. sick of hearing about buying Centre mids and centre backs, we need width!!!
