Rodriguez, Allan, doucoure, Godfrey and nkounkou was a decent summer last time round. If we can add four first team players and a good young player this time round I’d be happy. No matter how rich the owner is we can’t just keep adding players to the wage bill of what is already the highest wages to turnover in the league. Bernard, delph, iwobi, and tosun as a four cost us about 16 million a year in wages, until players like that are gone from the club well not be able to keep buying.

Yes, agree, last year was against the grain, but they were in the main short sighted temp signings.. im guessing our DOF is very well compensated especially off the back of a new contract and imo id expect more than a last minute rush with no time to bed in new signings.
For all the romance behind last year we were all here, sweating on the pics from the Titanic hotel of Doucs and James start of September after waiting all summer. Dont make out like we were ahead of the curve.
Our current and historic attitude towards transfers is old school sh1t, we've known for a long time what we've needed to buy and sell yet i have no confidence our transfer strategy will bring results.

No, I don't think it's anything to get too excited about, it's the 3rd youngster linked this week, we seem to be trying to strengthen the youth team which can only be a good thing tbh.
