Please NO not that way round ?
i think it makes sense. Richey is no number 9. Dom is the real deal, if we sell DCL who would we replace him with, on our limited budget? DCL , Simms `the battering ram` Ellis, Dele and Gordon will see us sorted going forward - i like Richey but i think if anyone should be sold for funds its him. would Richey get us 20+ goals a season, not a chance, but DCL can

Jorginho had a horrible time under Lampard. Deep lying playmaker is definitely not part of Lampard tactical consideration.

I disagree. Gana is a cracking player but he isnt a number 6 in a 433. For that role you need someone tactically astute who can sit. Gana was never that player - he wanted to go and win the ball back all over the pitch. He actually wasn't the greatest at all at sitting in and keeping his position in front of the back 4. In a 4231 though, he's great.

In Lampards 1st season Jorginho played almost every game as the deep playmaker with Kante as an 8.

I cant see Lampard wanting to sign a press machine like Gana and play him as a 6. Allan had always been an 8 and weve seen how Delph came in as a 6 and looked the part in comparison positionally.

If he changes things quickly to the style we perceive him to want then Gilmour slots in there as the deep playmaker.

If he wants to tweak the system/style we played recently then Id say a central midfielder could play as DM for a season. Then they switch to CM with a specialist DM coming in.

With Gilmour he looked class for Chelsea especially when deep and poor for Norwich more advanced.

Hard to tell if he'd be effective for us.

Richy is the heart beat of the team. He would be a MASSIVE loss.

Controversial I know, but I'd take Gueye on a short term loan deal from PSG - 33 soon but on his metrics he's not slowing down - don't actually care about all the faux outrage currently surrounding him.

He'd enable us to have a stop gap on a really hard position to fill, bring in Gilmour as well to learn from him, and focus on other parts of the team this summer without the huge worry about if that vital part of the team will fit into the team.
The local climate results in a shedload of rainbows… just make sure he doesn’t notice them (also no one talk about garlands or Lilly Savage)

It literally is. People are getting offended, really offended, because Gueye had the temerity to refuse to wear someone else’s clothes. He hasn’t committed any crime at all.

These people have no time for Gueye’s ethnicity whatsoever. They’d have him cancelled if they could. Binned off. Deprived of his employment. You must wear our clothes and share our beliefs or ve vill remove your National Insurance number!

They can’t see that they are being the bullies in this situation.

Dom is not the real deal, he’s ok but is far from a great player, I hope he’s the one we sell.

Is Bissouma still in legal trouble? Since he’s played all season I doubt it’s serious but he’s a monster player with only a year left on his deal and is 25 (26 in August).

Other teams haven’t seemed to go big for him, but his numbers are top level (tackles, interceptions, possession).

He won’t create a lot but he’ll win the ball and move it around to those who will. Being key in Potter’s system bodes well for Lampard’s preferred style too.

I’d happily see us chuck £30m at him.

ok, we know he is no Ibrahimovic but he has improved every season. but more to the point - who else will come in if he goes, no one has answered this question that i have seen.
