Positives for me from the preseason so far.
1. Cleverley looks very composed with the ball and tries to get forward more than our other CMs.
2. Garbutt, the guys left peg is astonishing. Probably can hit a dead-ball better than anyone else in our squad. And that shot, wow.
3. The team is looking to get forward more, rather than just passing it around. Just lacking a little creativity and finesse with the final ball. Ive got the feeling this will be sorted out.
4. Barkley scoring, hopefully that does his confidence the world of good.
5. It looks like Stones has gone up another gear. Scary really.
6. Lukaku is getting in some really good positions. With a bit of polish and the right players around him, I think he will get 20+ goals again.
7. Deulofeu looks as dangerous as ever.

For all the money being spent on players wages, some investment in somebody who knows what a modern S&C program looks like can lead to a big reduction in injuries and improved player performance and development.
Most premier league clubs have a dedicated staff dealing with this stuff.
