The flops are flops because they're not good enough.
Davies is a talent. Playing regular competitive football for a huge club would have been tremendous for him this season gone. Instead he was tasked with running around like a crazed man with no plan.

Literally see the ball Tom? You just chase it that’s all.

But you can't really call Scottish football competitive because 90% of the time Celtic stroll through games if you want the boy to improve it needs to be in a competitive league

He played last season in a very competitive league and even with his talent at times he looked out his depth. Not because he's not good enough, just because he wasn't trusted or coached properly.

Or Barry Ferguson or Aidan mcgeady or Gary hooper etc etc :coffee:

If we're loaning out our young lads they're much better off in the championship rather than strolling through games against pub players north of the border
There's an added factor for me about big games and expectations. Old firm games are huge and would do no end of good I'm terms of mentality, as would playing in front of 55000 people each week. Equally similar to playing Champions league games for Celtic.

2 games a season in front of a bunch of sectarian nobheads and a couple games getting battered by a European side. Nah

Maybe he isn't good enough

Aberdeen have been celtics bigger rivals over the last few years in terms of running them close. it was also hearts who ended their unbeaten run

so its hardly 2 games a season

When Aberdeen are your biggest competition it says it all for the quality of that league

Sectarianism aside, it's a massive game, with huge expectations. I don't think many of our Under 23s will have had that pressure, scrutiny or big game mentality. As well as actual mentality of winning the league.

It all contributes to development.

Take a look at both those 2 teams European record lately, it's pathetic.

Davies, DCL and Kenny are all above being loaned out to the SPL at this point.

Can we take the Scottish football chat to the Scottish football thread in World Football please?

Also just a heads up to leave sectarianism out.

Anyway, so this is a goer then?
