Better idea:
Ev/Rangers/Man U XVII playing in Everton shirts vs Liverpool at Anfield

Six man advantage against jurgen's juiceheads. Would it happen at long last?

Rash, Morelos and Rich up top, Pogba, Martial, Gomes, JP, Davies and some Rangers mid. Slab, Mina, Lucas, a couple of Rangers blokes.

I'd say Liverpool would still shade it on account of the shirts worn.

When Van Dyke was playing for Celtic a mate in work kept telling me that we should buy him, no idea why he was telling me like, but surely if he knew about him then you'd like to think that Everton knew about him.

I remember we were linked to him before he signed for Southampton (to replace Distin). There was talk of Martinez meeting Celtic's 10m valuation, but then Southampton came in with an 11.5m bid, rising to 13m based on appearances. We signed Funes Mori for 9.5m instead.

That Everton United defence looks pretty awful. And for anyone who ignores a side with Tricky Trev in it...

Yep.

John Gidman - John O'Kane - Michael Keane - Phil Neville

That's a pretty weak defence, especially if they are going up against Andy Gray and Duncan Ferguson.

Then add to the fact that Trevor Steven would be crossing the ball in. The bookies would cancel bets on headed goals.

Thoughts?
Who gives a 'k

Worryingly long list of players in the everton/rangers players list. I never liked our club's seemingly strong links to the knuckledraggers.

I'd like us to be raiding Celtic for a few of their players btw:

Edouard- great finisher and plenty of pace
James forest- tricky, pacey winger with an eye for goal
Callum mcgregor - two footed midfielder. Great passer, quick, guile, eye for goal.
I always thought Kieran Tierney looked a great prospect and thought we should have been in for him. His subsequent injury problems have led me to think we were better off not persuing him.

Out of curiosity, I just had a look to see who played for Everton and Celtic.

A list of Everton/Celtic players ......

GK - Jack Bell (actual position is FW)
RB - Billy Cook
CB - Danny Fox
CB - Alan Stubbs
LB - Daniel Doyle
RM - Bobby Collins
MF - Thomas Gravesen
MF - John Collins
LM - Aiden McGeady
FW - Alec Brady
FW - Mo Johnston

subs:
Tommy Johnson, Thomas McDermott.

Interesting facts on the controversial Daniel Doyle.
*Won the league with Everton in 1891 and was arguably the best player.
*Was signed for three clubs at one time (Everton, Bolton, Celtic), Collecting close season wages from all three clubs.
*His onfield collision with William Cooper ended up in that player dying.
*Won Celtic their first league title
*Everton probably would have won the league in 1892 had he stayed at the club.
