The first Olympic event starts today at 4pm (our time), as the GB Ladies team take on New Zealand. Long-serving blue lasses Jill Scott, Fara Williams and Rachel Brown will all feature. It's on BBC1 I think.

The top teams in the women's game can be fun to watch. The slower pace of the players allows a bit more time on the ball and the best teams move the ball very well.

It doesn't really compare to the men's game, but it's definitely watchable.
