I'm sure that the board and Moyes aren't silly enough to let these results be a false sense of security but with deadline day looming it's a bit worrying we only seem to have fair certainty about Alcaraz coming in. Always felt we needed around three in this window so at least one more including Alcaraz please.

Hold off on bringing in a other CF, we aren't in the running for Ferguson due to funds by the looks of it so no point spending 10-15m on just a body to bring in, even a very mediocre strikers gonna set you bs k that much on January.

Beto looks very durable, Chermiti bs k in three weeks and DCL 3 weeks after they by reports.

Be tempted still to try terminate Brojas loan as he's broken - use the spot to either try for Ferguson or Mcatee (preferred) on a last minute loan deal and get options on whichever one.

A late loan offer on Diarra from Strasbourg wouldn't be the first option either.

Saw us linked with Ebimbe as well although he apparently failed a medical on a move to France so not sure if that's just bs (sounds it)
Ferguson is not for me, he's too injury prone and that's not what we need right now. McAtee is a pipedream, he looks ready for first team football at city (same level as Bobb, Palmer and Rico Lewis when they broke out).

Chukwameka however is a player id go after, was annoyed that he took the easy bag in going to Chelsea but he could play some good football for us

I wouldnt be making any permanent signings now unless we're recruiting what we'd be targeting in the summer. One or 2 more loans (if we're allowed that many more) is all we need now IMO for cover.
The loan exchange - exchange Broja for Chukwameka; exchange Mangala for Alvarez. Insert buy clauses in both and wait until the summer for any permanent move

Jep, the thing is we'll need 2-3 more players to have depth than this season. But this is what we need, quality upgrade, loans and free transfers combined.

Angel Gomes, Walker Peters, Gasiorowski for example would be some really good free transfers to get.

Gomes yes but Gasiorowski isnt free.

Thing with chuk is I think Diarea at Strasbourg is a very similar profile/type of player, ones on about 20k ow compared to 100k as well as the fee being probably a lot less say 20-25 compared to 35-40 also a year younger and with more playing time.and less injuries.

Oh and he's a Senegalese international 💕

This is the lad I'm talking about mate.

I'll raise...

Looking at the two lads performance data, Canara seems far more a Gueye type than Diarra who seems like a ball carrying centre mid - his Def stats are super low for example.

Checked out Mcatee on that as well, his defensive statistics are insanely good - especially so given he's at city where they normally suffer from having the ball all the time.

Funny if you look at a Beto and DCL compassion as well - doesn't make pretty reading for Dom.

Was bored so did a bit of digging I to various players we've either bought or had credible reports we tried to buy, one million percent that Thelwell is a heavy user of statistics in recruitment.

Alcaraz very much fits his template on that regard btw.
