Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Wouldn't object to either option, let's hope we land one of them.

Tough one that, Hall has way more experience but Chucky reminds me of Onana who Moyes was desperate for West ham to sign.

Btw if you actually look at what Moyes says pretty sure he wants two attackers and a central mid. Wonder if he wants that loan spot for a striker though....

I definitely think KDH or Carney would really add something. Carney probably the longer term choice but you'd want an option to buy. KDH the guy who would hit the ground running more which suggests to me he would be Moyes' choice.

Not sure mate the centre mid is a place we deffo have experience in though already - Gueye, Mangala, Garner.

I'm still praying for the Everton DNA comment to be literal mind you ;)

It sounds like Chelsea will only free the loan slot if we take one of theirs and they don't have a striker to offer. So that option may not exist.

I agree, long term Carney seems like a perfect Moyes player. You need an option or even obligation though if you go with him.

The domestic loan spot will be whatever Chelsea decide. They are in the driving seat thanks to Broja’s return being a necessity for us that they don’t need to help us out with.

He's actually got a 40m buyout btw Carney. So what Chelsea would ask for is anything from that down.

Add him, get the city lad in by hook or by crook and then just need a half decent back up striker or winger ... Easy innit 🤔

My reading of this, is that Chelsea are pushing them loans more than us.

In your scenario it makes sense to be fair. That loan spot is precious. So a lot of moving parts.

Maybe in order to confirm Broja loan off, they want us to take another player?

Broja swap for KDH with an option to buy for me. He shouldn’t have gone there, and they shouldn’t have bought him. Same situation as Conor Gallagher for him now. A solid player but just swamped by players they will have paid more money for, meaning he just won’t feature. Chuck far more interesting, but if he does well, they will want to sell him for more than we can afford. They will be glad to thin the squad with KDH.

Got a start the other night and it seemed his only role was to pull the defense narrow to make space for Madueke. He’s no world beater, but he is much better than that.

Gonna be an interesting last week or so of the window though for certain.

Yeah the article basically says that they will only take Broja back if we take one off their hands. Which isn't really a problem at all as both are very decent players.

Got to feel that Moyes wants Ferguson if we are trying to cancel whilst not taking either of those though, as either would improve us, not seeing another loan domestically fior an available striker that would be worth not taking Carney otherwise.
