aaron wan bissaka can defend not the greatest going forward tho. I like Digne but if selling him means we can get this new lad hopefully he is good. If he isn’t it’s a big mistake again. Hopefully are scouts have done a good job for once. Also a new RB am all for it. Digne doesn’t suit the way we play and I would rather we didn’t play the way we play at the moment but it is what it is. I actually think Digne would be great for someone like City.

And United fans don't rate him.

All the top teams have more Digne's than Tony Hibberts.

The Echo have said we want 3 signings in Jan mate - LB, RB & CM.

Digne essentially funds those deals FFP speaking.
But we didn’t need a LB did we?

we had funds - we bud £20m if not more for Diaz at the end of the window, we went in for Patterson

I have no issues with Digne going, next summer

Im honestly not bothered mate - some will fume for fume sake.

Lets see what this lad can do.

It’s isn’t fuming for fume’s sake. If we have £17m to spend, why is it not being spent on a right-back?

This lad might be great. I don’t mind the signing, it’s just not needed. And if it has only come about because our manager has fallen out with one of our better players then how ludicrous is that?

But you are solely blaming the manager for that fall out - maybe Digne wants out anyway or is being as stubborn a bell as you all think Benitez is.

Like I said the Echo states we still want a RB in January - just because we are signing this fella doesn't mean we wont spend £17 million on a RB.

You know how FFP/amortisation works if we get a good offer for Digne.

If this lad is good and we have a chance to sign him we should do it. We could have him, Godfrey, Branthwaite and a new young right back as our defence for the next five years.

It's only a chance to sign him cos we've forced one of our better players out the door.

Also..Nkounkou not doing anything?

If Digne wanted out he wouldn’t have signed the new deal.

I have no issue with selling Digne down the line. It’s sensible business. Get this lad in, get him bedded in with time to train, get used to the league. And then sell Digne next year

Because to raise that money and more, I presume we are selling our left back. Let's wait until the transfer window is over before we judge.
We had money at the end of the last transfer window. We put out two bids that were reported to be worth a combined £28m

We aren’t going to get £40m for Digne when he’s so clearly been ostracised (for whatever reasons) are we, and we’ve already gone and bought his replacement - where’s the bargaining power?
