" I'd just like to add some balance to this debate,whilst i do not condone these sick chants from either set of fans, i do feel that because of Benitez' ill imformed outburst that we ( Everton fans ) are being painted as the villians here. There was absolutely no chanting about hillsbrough on sunday or at another time, some fans refer to them as murderers because of Heysel, yet Liverpool fans twist this to gain the sympathy vote and bleat about the chant refering to Hillsbrough. Liverpool fans enjoyed singing about Lee Carsleys family and children when they were playing at Bolton a few weeks ago, yet this is missed by Benitez ! Also, some or most of the vitreol for Steven Gerrard comes from the fact that he was once an Evertonian, not that this is any excuse but it should partly explain things a bit.The friendly derby is a thing of the past, that's a fact, like it or not.And maybe Mr Benitez is angry that we have observed that he resembles a fat spanish waiter !

The man has consistently shown himself to be without class.
