I’m quite upset that ESPN+ now streams some Championship matches. The old rule in glory hunting America was if your team went down, you got to pick a new one because it would be impossible to keep up with them after the drop. I’m going to need Everton to go down again next year so I can bin them off with a clear conscience.

Talking to a mate this morning (he’s a Newcastle fan) and he said he quite enjoyed it when they got relegated as they then kept winning matches…I know…I know…it didn’t help me either……

I love this club and always will.
But I'll be [Poor language removed] if this gang of overpaid bin chickens are going to impact my mood any more.

It's selfish I know, but if I can find a way to watch them next year on TV regularly, and relegation causes a flush of the squad and strategic direction. I'm all for it.

I see it as a blessing, personally. It will give me more years to make sure my kids see a game at Goodison, and there will probably be more seats available in the Park End as well, so I don't have to sit behind a f***ing pole.
