WIRRAL-lad Adam Thomas is making a good impression on academy coaches after a string of lively displays for the U-18s.

Thomas scored one and created another in the victory over Crewe, and Kevin Sheedy believes his versatility bodes well.

“He is a right footer who we’ve got working down the left and he loves to put crosses in,” he said.

“Adam started off as a striker but we’ve had a look at him as a wide player too and it certainly does no harm being able to do both.”

I'm made up that the youth are doing well at the minute but are any of them going to ever be close to the first team?

Now that Orenuga has gone to Notts County young Thomas can play either side and his speed is electric. He is by far a much improved player than last year and needs a run in the reserves which will do his confidence a lot of good
Nice to see. Hope he progresses, we need a left sider.

You got to say the young player we have got and probably coming through are more exciting than the older player we have got, after a break through from Rodwell he certainly has gone a bit quite and got us worrying but recently has much improve hope this carrys on.

Barkley, Coleman and Vellios certainly has something we much needed hope the younger two would carry on developing and soon become a regular for the first team.

Gueye do seem ok as well, hope we did get to see more of him in the coming cup tie. let's also hope Duffy and Mustafi would carry on improve, Garbutt and Bidwell sound exciting prospect let's hope they did develop into a good left side defender for us and take over Distin and back Baines up. Baxter must have something if Moyes keep giving him chance let's see he comes good eventually.

Fellaini is already doing better and better for us and the loan signing Royston Drenthe seems like a exciting prospect for us, he has the pace to strengthen our attack.

Imgaine seeing this line-up from Everton;

Howard

Coleman --- Jagielka --- Distin --- Baines

Gueye/Barkley --- Fellaini --- Rodwell --- Drenthe

Barkley/Osman/Bilyaletdinov

Vellios

Well, you could place Barkley in Gueye position and have either Billy or Osman behind Vellios, I thihk this would be a pretty exciting line-up don't you think?

You've scored 2 out of ten for grammar.

Seems like quite a few have stepped up into the reserves this season which is good. Its great to see structures throughout the club being effective, its no mean feat when you consider that most were scrapped during Walters reign at the expense of players like : Barton, Jags and Baines - who were involved with us.

Would be an interesting stat, to see what percentage of underage international players Everton provide in comparrison to other clubs.
