Maltese Tony

Player Valuation: £500k
I live in house of red mist that most nights they both start rambling about this player or that player ,my wife who comes from a red family acts like a ref , but over the last 2 weeks my arguments and my standing up for my club have started to crumble ,even at a family barbecue this weekend i even agreed with my red faced father in law , he couldnt belive i hadnt renewed my season ticket ,i told him i just cant put money into a club that shats on its fans and its manager .
Normally i would have 2 kits be looking forward to the season ,but the first time in almost 15 years iam really not that bothered ,
I think i just need something positive to come ,i dont belive the liars in the back pages and forget sky sports
is it just me or are we just feed up with our club

Ultimately, fans turning on the club and not spending their hard earned quid won't help anything.

Unfortunately, you are not alone mate. I've renewed this year but if I didn't take the grandkids I'm not so sure. You can still be a proud blue though, never cave in to the red mist, never.

I am not a normally miserable git , but iam just not happy
and i cant bring myself to put any money into the club
why should i

I'm as happy as ever at this stage of the season. Looking forward to seeing some football, we've got a settled side, proper pre-season is under way, everyone fit (or nearly everyone). Couple of new players would be nice, but we've proven that we have a top 7 squad, if we hadn't started so bloody poorly last year we would have been pressing Spuds for 5th no question.

All this and so much scope for improvement off the field. It's not all doom and gloom folks.

You can't blame someone if they don't want to pump hundreds of pounds into the club anymore, really. There's very little get excited about and prices these days for matches and season tickets alike are quite high fees to pay for most people.

That said it's not going to help the club. There's a certain cruel irony to it, like, especially if it is true that the fees for Vaughan and Pienaar have been absorbed to cover ticket sale losses.

We have a strong squad capable of pushing for Europe if injury free.. I'd say there is plenty to be excited about, young Jedi.

You can't complain about the club having no money if you won't spend yours on them, that's like not voting and then complaining about who gets into power.

Christ, if this is how you're feeling now, I would hate to know how you felt back when we were at the wrong end of the table. Want my opinion? Close the door on your way out.

I don't see how we can possibly do better than last year, mate, and even that was underwhelming.

I don't mean to be negative though.

I don't really feel right though saying that to someone who seemingly has bought a lot of kits and season tickets over the years. He's put a lot more money into the club than I have.

"i told him i just cant put money into a club that shats on its fans and its manager ."

Whether you believe that or not, you should never say that to an RS fan.(n)
