General Disarray

Player Valuation: £500k
Just thought i'd have a mini rant about other teams in the league and the perception fans from rival clubs have.

Firstly my bias is a genuine hatred for Tottenham & Newcastle which stems back many years.

Newcastle fans genuinely believe they are this huge club and other teams in europe respect and fear them. - Where has this come from? I don't fear Newcastle.

-They have a big stadium and fill it but if you only had one team in Manchester or Liverpool the stadium would need to be 30k bigger than St James Park. The number of fans doesn't make you a big club, it makes you a well supported club.
-They haven't won anything for years and years (I know we haven't really either) other than promotion, so i don't get the big club thing there.
-Finally they aren't rich so they aren't big in terms of wealth.

This brings me to my point, fair enough they played well last season and got themselves in a European spot, but Newcastle fans i know are talking about leap frogging Arsenal and Spurs to claim a Champions League spot. I'm Genuinely concerned for them. What makes things 100% worse is when i talk to Man United or Liverpool fans about this, they agree and talk about how big a club Newcastle are!

Sorry if i wasted anyones time with this.

It became fashionable to hate Newcastle in the 90s when they were doing well.

All clubs have deluded fans, I remember loads of Evertonians saying we were going to win the league the other year.

To be fair it's pride and optimism rather than delusion.

with the exception of RS, who still genuinly believe they are league contenders every year

Same as Newcastle think they're a huge club, but what i really dislike it there need to bully other teams, its not just a recent thing. It's part of their history. They sign players and let them die rather than a rival signing them. Look at their dealing with Modric now. He hasn't played all summer - Croatia friendly will be his first game - What if he doesn't leave? he won't be fit for Spurs until come October. ****ing Stupid

For me ****tie fans r gettin worse than man u,
I work in manchester, I've seen the differance n sum of them, that think that every player wants to go to them
granted there a class side now but only coz they pay all their players obscene wages, as for them been a big club I agree with snods coments the other day they Sud all take a history lesson, to that not so long ago they were in the second division.

First off ... top quality choice on username and profile pic.

I don't know what Man U. or RS fans you're talking with because that's insane. Well, I know what RS fans you are talking with (any of them) but I would give Man U. fans slightly more credit than that. Sometimes football fans are like babies: they'll only pay attention to what is right in front of them and if it leaves their view then it doesn't exist. So by their troll (not internet but bridge) logic Newcastle did well last year so they will do well again. In fairness it worked like that for a decade or so with the same four teams every year so I suppose that's where they get that from but there is too much competition now. It's not impossible for Newcastle to have another great year but I'd say it's very unlikely.

Sorry if i wasted anyones time with this.
Not at all. Much better than spinning our wheels on the same old same old.

That said you should hate Man City more than either of those teams.
