Haahaha - you raise an interesting point though - what is a "prevenger"?

It's the act of exacting revenge on someone before you have been wronged by them. I'll let some of my first ever posts explain, as there was a thread dedicated to the very topic of usernames back in the heady, hopeful days of June 2014.

My friend and I got drunk and designed a team on Pro Evolution Soccer. They were also a quasi-religious cult and their god was a sentient polar bear whose only emotions were anger and needing ice cream. The core philosophy of this religion was pre-emptive revenge, or exacting vengeance before someone has done anything to deserve it, hence the name Prevengers. We were were pretty drunk. I even have a jersey, and we're sponsored by Hall and Oates.

And from a thread about avatar origins:

Mine is an extension of my username story. It's the club crest of a fictional football team/cult that my friend and I invented when we were drunk. The crest depicts a polar bear god ripping a man in twain with the club motto "Freezius Deathius"(scholars maintain the meaning of it was lost long ago). 3029 represents the year that the Prevengers will be founded, because they only exist in theoretical futures. Here is me wearing my jersey:

I expect Everton's lawyers to be in touch.

If anyone uses any Robocop phrases I will sue.

But you know what this reminds me of. Remember when you bought a computer game and when you loaded up the team management it had names like Edward Van De Sir, Ryan Goggs, Rude Vin Nastiroy, Paul Scoles, Gary Nevil. I think you could change them all in the editor but it was a ball ache

So we can't display the crest of the club we support?

I absolutely hate how commercial football is. Take EA Sports FIFA for example. They own the rights to using all Premier League football clubs in their game. PES can't use them, and as someone mentioned earlier, has to change the names and crests. How can you own the right to display the name of something? Of course, it's legally justified, but it just isn't right at all.

The fact that the club is trying to stifle discussion of everything Everton related, all for a few pounds, is disgusting. Ashamed here.

Nobody is trying to stifle discussion....they just don't want the crest on display, probably because it's licensed for use by the Premier League. Share your hate of footballs commercialism, but football without money is just netball.
