Everton aren’t any better, they’re just luckier

Strange the article fails mention the draw with West Brom which we would've won had Felliani not hit the post late on, plus other chances we missed, or the draw with Norwich on the opening day where we completely outplayed them, and let's not mention the draw with Cardiff, blatant pen on Baines not given, elbow on Baines by Bellamy not even seen. That match was a joke for all the wrong reasons

You earn your luck in this game at the end of the day and we've had no more of it than anyone else. Just more lazy journalism by the usual big 4 and London teams obsessed media

Ultimately we have improved, we have more points from 9 games than we did last season at the same stage, and we've already beaten teams we drew with & lost to last season.

This article is a blog by an Everton fan from the website Royal Blue Mersey. Have a read of some of the other articles; those boys haven't got a clue.

Agreed, they are/he is an embarrassing entity and were it not for noone bothering to read his Metro tripe I would have been demanding replacements.

Honestly, we have been a bit fortunate in parts. Excellent performances from Howard last week, resilience in the Chelsea game and brilliance from Baines have been twinned with a bit of good luck. We haven't hit top form at all yet. It will come but you require a little luck to have good seasons, whoever you are.
That's not to say our season has been totally shaped by good luck so far, we aren't Spurs. I'm happy to be a bit jammy while I wait for us to come good.
Well, consider this: Chris Woods was a bag of wank as far as goalkeeping coaches go; Iniaki Bergara (who made a great keeper out of Al Habsi) might well be credited with this season's noticeable improvement in Howard's game? I think it's very plausible

It's hilarious that now Moyes is united manager, only last season counts when looking at his time at everton. That article very conveniently omits the terrible (some beyond terrible) starts for the majority of the last 11 years....

The real issues are do we as fans feel more confident in our team and do the players feel more confident in getting results. I can't speak for the players or even the other fans, but I feel more confident this year than I did last year..........

Every football games as bit of luck in it, so the article is pointless. If we would have have got the penalty at City this year then we could still be unbeaten, every game as an incident that could potentially change the outcome.

Unbelievable that a Blue has written and published this sort of ****e. After years of Moyes and Kenwright some fans need to get off their knees and find some self respect.

The thing that's frustrating at the moment is that even though we have done so well, we only sit in 6th position. Southampton will most likely start to fade away soon and then it will be a battle between the expected top 7 for the top 7 places.

Really is hard to predict. If we get some favourable results at the weekend we could be right up there. Arsenal have got to beat the ****e!

The important thing is to keep with the pack, once you slip away its hard to get back again, a win against Spurs would be a truly massive result, less confident under Martinez than Moyes on this one as I think we will play into their strikers hands, but the results against the big boys so far give no indication of how this will go.
1 defeat against City, 1 win against Chelsea.
Been a tad unfortunate with the win last week being matched by everyone else, but a win against Spurs by its very nature means some gain on one of our rivals.
Your defeo right, its frustrating not to be moving forwards more when getting the results, but we are at a point where any wins can concievably move us into the top 4 and beyond which is ace.
