Should get all three points here but Stoke wont make it easy. I will go for a 2-0 victory in this one.

Everton 3-1 Stoke

Saha, Cahill x2 to score. Beattie for them.

Been waiting for this match for a while, should be good to see Beattie back at goodison :) Already said he wouldnt celebrate. Id applaud him if he scored against us - that is if we are winning of course :P

-------------------------------Howard-------------------------------

Hibbert/Jacobsen-------Jagielka---------Lescott-----------Baines

--------------------------Neville----------Cahill-------------------------

Gosling/Osman--------------------------------------------Pienaar

------------------------------Fellaini--------------------------------

------------------------------- Jô-----------------------------------

Start with Jô and bring Saha on 2nd half. No need risking him from the start. He will be essential during our run-in. Will be a very hard game for us I reckon, but think we'll win it by 2-0. Cahill and Jô.

...Depends on his fitness really. I dont think Hibbert is fit? If so he would be in the team. I reckon Yobo will get sent off if he plays...dno why.

I'd play that against stoke, not a great footballing side so not imperative that we have Neville in the middle.

What is imperative is that we have good communication and people taking control when Delap hurls his long throws in.

The way we handled the throws at their place was nothing short of pathetic.

Very true but we was really off form then. Delaps throw-ins have caused mayhem to many opponents this season, one being of them being Liverpool.

which is a baffling fact. Because he doesn't get bend on them or anything like that. They should be easy to defend really. You know where he's going to put it, Timmy H should be ready to come and pluck them out of the sky.

Has anyone been inconvenienced by the BNP and not going to this? Cancelled your trip or alike?

I booked Sunday off work before it got moved back. Now i'm off for no reason whatsoever.

Looking forward to our trip to Goodison on Saturday. Last time I was there was during our Holocaust season of '84, you whacked us 4-0 I seem to remember.

I'm taking my 7 year old on Saturday, he seems to have adopted Everton as his second team for some reason. He plays for an under 8's side and last Saturday he scored a last minute equaliser, he ran to the corner and did a "Tim Cahill" on the corner flag, it was a stunner! He says he thinks Stoke we'll win on Saturday (oh to have the optimism of the young!) but he reckons Everton will win the cup. Lets hope he's right.

I can't really see us getting anything on Saturday to be honest but whatever happens we'll make sure Everton will have to work for the result. Having said that, with 6 minutes to go at the Villa and 2-0 down I couldn't see us getting anything but we ended up with a draw so you never know.

Beattie is on fire at the moment (something like 5 in 6 games and 3 assists) and it should be interesting to see how he performs on his old stomping ground. Another positive for us is that Matty Etherington will be back from his 3 game ban on Saturday.

Apart from a couple of creditable draws our away form has been really poor. Frustratingly for those of us who have travelled to all the aways our boss TP sets out his stall so as not to get beaten rather than try to go for the win. He finally admitted he'd got it wrong at the Villa in the first half and changed it around in the second. as was said on MOTD afterwards it made us wonder what might have been if we'd gone for it from the off. Maybe TP will finally see the light and go for broke at Everton.

We've sold out our allocation for Saturday and whatever happens on the pitch we'll make some racket and get behind the lads. I'm expecting a better atmosphere than when we went to Disneyworld across the park last September. I've been going to see Stoke on Merseyside since the 70's and I couldn't believe the change at Anfield. It's become a tourist attraction, full of day trippers buying up scarves and having their photo's taken. I'm looking forward to a more traditional atmosphere at Goodison.

Beattie acts all weird on the hallowed turf and runs around like a mad man forgetting about scoring goals. Works his stones off but was clearly lacking something whilst at us. I'll be applauding him.
