Lovely as it would be to derail their title hopes tonight our survival rests more with results against Sheff Utd and Luton.

I worry for Godfrey.

I do too but if it’s a choice between Godfrey and Young then I’m thrilled that Dyche has finally let go of his binky. I don’t want to see Young play for us again. Nothing personal, decent guy, but he can’t play PL football any more.

Godfrey at least has pace and physicality. There is a good chance of him getting caught out, wandering away from his post, or doing something dumb, but the odds of Young giving up a penalty, an OG, or a red card are close to 100%.

I get that Godfrey has pace. But his positioning is just awful and that penalty he gave away against man utd. Did dyche forget how well garner played at rb at the end of last season

Really? Godfrey could never be a cb as he doesn't win headers. He was at fault for headed goals in at least 2 of his last 3 starts
