Everton 1-4 Arsenal

Oh and the straight red to Arteta was a joke. Fabregas made as much of that as possible to get him sent off...and it worked.
 

Well, another top 4 game where we take it close and fail dramatic fashion. I've said this a few times, and i really mean it, we lack class to challenge any of them, its why they are so consistent, and come through, they have real class. When we play the top 4 sides, we lose the ability to beat a man, only Lescott will have a run, everyone else shits it and punts long, where i come to my other criticism, aimless long balls instead of keeping the ball, and this now has become inclusive to the top4 rather than the rest of the PL, where we play some good stuff. We are going to find it very tough in the next month or so, and i hope to god theirs funds to keep us going to the end.

As for Arsenal, cheating scum bags, never a sending off, and Setanta can [Poor language removed] off and go bust, nothing made of the handball, and Arteta's was defo seniding off, no way, an accidental slap. I've got 11/1 on Arsenal for the title, i hope they win [Poor language removed] all, very bitter tonight.
 
if anything good can come out of that match then it would be arteta gets a kick up the arse and when he comes back plays even better.

i can see a midfeild made up of mostly defenders coming very soon.

I agree and the money available is so important now we have had a brilliant first half of the season but with the anc,suspensions and injuries we are desperate for 2 class players in the midfield i hope we go and get them then we can still attack on 4 fronts.

it was obvious to all that arteta was only using his arm/hand to get himself in front of fabrecas. to give a straight red is criminal. the ref let so many things go without blowing his whistle that to send of MA was way out of character with how he had judged the rest of the match. from that point on the game was there's. Shocking decision for me, but we were quite niave in the second half compared to the first when we played like a top 4 team. If the boys learn from tonights second half then they will progress as a team which is the only positive you can take from the second 45.

Good first post.

By the way, I was a bit nervous seeing the lineup today with both Carsley and Neville in the midfield but for the first 45 minutes, it worked just fine.

Unfortunately it went all pear shaped for the second 45 minutes for the entire team.

Couldnt agree more really. The difference is that we do lack the class of a couple of good midfields, other than that, its also down to belief in what you can do as a team. I thought today we passed the ball around beautifully at times, but as for what happened today in the second half I am completely speechless...arsenal where poor no denying it, but the question is why did we give up defending in the second half and what was moyes thinking bringing off a defender for a striker? yes we needed a goal from somewhere, but not at the expense of taking a defender off against arsenal...i think it was a poor sub decision...3 defenders clueless and bricking themselves...and what did moyes do? lets take off hibbert for johnson, that decision imo was pivotal because it was after the sub the punted goals started going in.

Maybe it is just tiredness, we have done well on fronts so far, am not ashamed of how we played today, but I am ashamed of the non existant defending at times. Lets press on, learn from this, buy some more exceptional players and kick on..I dont think we are too far behind that top 4...narrowly loosing to 1of them which we should of got a pen from which would have been 2-2, drawing against chelski and commiting suicide against arsenal and man utd, neither of which really completely outplayed us...learn from these losses, and i dont think it will be long before we do really break that top 4, or even dare i say challenging for the title...but we need to get consistancy thats all...COYB!

I am sorry, I feel like we were rob from a draw or win, no comment on the 1st goal from Arsenal, where a nice cross made it through, but 2nd one I felt Jags was foul, whether he was slightly off balance he wasn't going to fall on the floor and it was the pull down from the striker lead to him falling down and he has no right to pull down our defender so he could get through to the ball in the shortest possible time!


3rd goal again it was lead to by a orginal foul from the scorer when the cross come in I can't remember which of our player went for the ball, but he was push down by a hand on his shoulder so he couldn't get to the ball, and that is a foul, 4th is a goal but probably wouldn't have happen anyway if 2nd one wasn't given in the first place!

Now Arsenal player was sent off as he deserve, but Arteta one oh my god I couldn't even believe he was sent off, does it remind you of the ADV one on Xabi, there was a hardly any contact, oh yea, he was hurt so badly that he was back on the pitch with seconds after he went off the pitch, if I was the referee I would sent him off for trying to get another player sent off, I am not please with the referee at all!

Not to mention the foul inside the area and couple of foul near the line on Arteta which was not given I don't care if the defender caught him accidentally but he was no where near the ball and Arteta would have went through him and could get to position to lay the ball in the middle for our attacker to score a easy tip in, so it was a accidental foul which stop a scoring chance which should be yellow card and a free kick, not to mention he was actually the last men, and no free kick was given!

Next time Arteta when there was a accidental foul about to happen against an Arsenal player you might as well, break his nose or chin bone since you will be given a straight red any way, might as well get the other player out of the game, bloody diver! (Sorry, for being bit evil here)!

Although we should have score our 2nd or even 3rd goals in the 1st half when we had them in our palm!

Let's take it out of Middlesbrough's boys on Tuesday I should be there to cheer you guys on!
 
ARGHR - the referee a joke. HE wouldnt card any of their players in the first half when they made some horrible tackles, then after he sent arteta off he was handing them out to arsenal!!

Artetas was never a red card, fabregas shouldve been carded for diving, almunia for time wasting, and half the arsenal players for raising their hands to the everton players. I dont ereally care about the score line really, we lost and brought it on our selves...we shouldve won.

Tell me about it, that's why I say we should have finish them off in the 1st half, don't tell me about the fouls they made, I watch every single one of them and Arsenal should have couple more sent off!

The handball that was made so he could get a scoring chance, he knows what he was doing, he did it on purpose and he should have been sent off, this referee is terrible he miss everything or pretend not seen any!

As I have said Arteta one is exactly same as AVD on Xabi in the derby, and the referee don't give me crap elbow there player, next time Arteta when it happen you might as well break some of the bones, since you are getting sent off any way, don't give me crap it was nothing rolling on the floor like a sissy and back on the pitch within second of going off it!
 
We played really really well I thought, in fact we played Arsenal off the park, 2 of their goals from long lobs and terrible defending, 1 from a [Poor language removed] stupid communication error and 1 from just being out of it at the end.

We played well, we pulled off some great moves, defense was just [Poor language removed] disgusting in the 2nd half. Arteta should never have got a straight red and [Poor language removed] them. They're as arrogant as [Poor language removed] and they can go take their slick football and shove it up a pirates ass.

I am so looking forward to playing them away toward the end of the season, and we are going absolutely take it out on them this time round, right infront of there stupid fans!
