I'd have no problems seeing him upfront alongside Louis Saha. I'd rather see Yakubu up there but I can't see Moyes starting the Yak twice in one week.

If he's upfront on his own then we've got problems.

Yes, because Cahill looks like scoring doesn't he? And when he's not scoring he links play excellently and runs the channels with pace. Erm no, he doesn't.

He just floats inbetween the midfield and striker and we hope that he'll score every once and a while.

I want to see us go 4-4-2. Jo or Yak alongside Saha is the way forward. If it's not working we can bring Osman on for one of the strikers and make it a five man midfield.

I just dropped a bit of realism into this thread, to be honest.

I'd like to see us go 4-4-2. Cahill can play in midfield for this one.

Jo isn't that bad, he's just not a goal threat, he's a one of them.

When you see our youth team out like last night it does make you realise how good you have to be to even touch the ball in a prem game.

He's not much of a goal threat, I'd agree with that. But Cahill has barely looked a goal threat all season and there's no doubt in my mind that from open play, in terms of linking things up, Jo and Yakubu bring far more to the table than Tim.

Play Tim in midfield or push him upfront (as a striker) and let him play like he did last season. But at the moment, in the position he's playing, he's not offering much.

He's done well in his last 3 games in his usual role lad.
