Ever lied to a girl about your job?

Nobody

Player Valuation: £500k
If you did, what did you do? Did you come clean when it started to get serious or did you make up another lie and tell her you've had to take another job? (Your actual job)

Just heard this being talked about on radio, wondered if it actually happens.

I was leaving a hockey game once (about an hour after most fans had left because I was attending a function), wearing a jersey as many fans do, and some very attractive women asked me if I was one of the players. I said no ... because I am an idiot. It was just such a ridiculous premise (that a player would leave the arena wearing his own jersey) that I reactively said no before I could realize that saying yes was probably the better option.

Oddly it wasn't the only time someone sincerely asked me that question when I was wearing a jersey.

That's the closest I came. I am thinking about lying a lot more though ... I really see no downsides and it should help make things more interesting.

I've been a fireman before! Only the once though. Got a buy one get one free lap dance off a girl in a krakow lappies. Probably got ripped off for the first one like.

I told a girl once that I was in a driving academy for Jordan F1 (when they were still competing), I didn't expect it to work but it got a little out of hand and I ended up having to keep it up. Eventually I told the girl that it didn't come to much in the end and that I'd "rather not talk about it".

A group of us were out on the town and our cover story was that we were firemen. One girl I got friendly with, only a one nighter for me, was coming on to me. I mentioned the fire station we were 'from'. Her reply, ' oh, I live just round the corner, can I come round and see you? '
Quick exit stage left.
