Evening Toffees Volunteering - Advice needed can it help in job search

Evening Toffees My nephew is long term unemployed and is trying to get a job but the longer it goes on the harder it gets (Especially with the current regime) We want to get him out and about every day doing something constructive so it will give him a sense of value and also look good on his cv for a prospective employer ( He is really trying to get any kind of work) I spoke to someone recently who said that volunteering can really help and that there is an organization called the Volunteer Bureau who are crying out for Volunteers Any help would be appreciated

Has he thought about joining the armed forces mate

There is work out there for those who really want it. What is he doing to try to find work? I'm not suggesting that your nephew is like this but too many youngsters think that a fortnightly trip to JobCentre Plus & a few searches on the net is enough.
