Congrats on your win today

I watched a game of two halves

Tell you what Spurs looked superb today not just good going forward but with good strength and depth in midfield as well

Our defending was dog****e ( Rio particularly struggled like **** against a side with pace )

Our attacking play second half was superb Rooney was brilliant

Not going to mention the ref watch MOTD and make your own mind up ( poss two pens for us but need to see them on tv)

Anyway dont write us off yet (y)

The decline in Rio Ferdinand over the last year has been unreal. His legs look to have gone like.

Thanks for letting us have a week in 2nd though, much appreciated. You'll bounce back soon.

Watched your game mate and it wasn't pleasant viewing. Long way to go yet. Nice one.

We were great second half and hit the woodwork a couple of times

However you cant defend like that and win football matches

Fergie will sort it I reckon chance

The best thing about today for me was the atmosphere on the Stretford end really got behind the lads

One was a definite penalty, but opposition fans would likely agree that you have had plenty that shouldn't over the years.

I think Fergie is doing a good job keeping you up near the top, because I really feel you have an average squad. That in itself is a travesty really, given the amount of money incoming over the years you should be able to spend the same as Chelsea and Man City, only without the aid of a sugar daddy.

I was surprised at how good Spurs looked, they put an end to their Old Trafford hoodoo, but they were going to eventually, one day we will win at Anfield again.

I'm sure you will qualify for the CL, but the team needs to improve some if you are going to challenge for the title.

I have my doubts about both Manc teams this year. Think it's Chelsea's for the taking, at this moment in time. They looked very good today.

****ing lost me over 20 quid by not winning. bloody man utd, at least you beat the RS i suppose, even that was a tad fortunate. sorry nev, but you have been pretty poor so far (man utd, not you personally), deservedly beaten by us, late goals to overcome soton, poor performance against the RS and losing today. man city haven't looked any better to be fair, thought they were outplayed by arsenal last week. united's back 5 and midfield four looks very average more often than not which is oh so strange, would love us to get a great away result like spurs did today this season, think we have a great chance of doing so as well.

what do you reckon nev? do you believe we deserve to be 2nd, because bias aside, we truly deserve it, the rest of the league are lucky we got robbed of 2 more points against newcastle, great to see us bounce back in the way we have instead of "diving to win penalties" instead

You already win way too many soft and sometimes non-existant penalties against opposition teams so no point really complaining when one thing doesn't go your way for once. Spurs were the much better team and definitely deserved the win. To be honest you guys have been pretty poor so far this season and even last week were very lucky to win after another ref error.

Also have to laugh at Fergie complaining to the media about the injustice that you 'only' got 4 mins of ET!

nah, shelvey lunged in with two feet, what do you expect in this day and age? footballers are idiotic to still do it knowing it is a straight red more often than not. evans may have been lucky but his was more of a two footed challenge for the ball instead of a desperate lunge. unless you're on about the pen which i thought valencia was going down before there was contact but still stupid from johnson not staying on his feet to give the ref an opportunity.

this is highly ironic though, some people really need to have a sence of perspective. its about the best team over 90 minutes, not what could have happened in an extra 1

Was hoping Utd would get an equalizer late on, pity about City getting a late one. Nice for us to have a vested interest in these results, while it lasts.

to be in the top 4 with a defense so average is good. i think fergie will find a few out of contracts before Jan to help out.

you also need a good stong midfielder Scholes is doing a great job, but you need someone who can last 90 mins.

Yeah I was referring more to Valencia going down easily. Never a penalty in my book even if it is against the RS. Johnson didn't make any contact with his feet.

Shelvey deserved to be sent off but Evans also went in with a two footed challenge and was very lucky to stay on. I guess his theatrics after the tackle helped convince Halsey.
