I think he meant it mate. 3 game ban looming. I think he booking was for the ruckus not the incident, so will get picked up.

He should be banned, after seeing it over and over again, it was done cowardly and on purpose and could of caused injury so give him a lengthy ban.

I reckon the Swansea player has that medical condition called 'no common sense'.

He could've caused serious injury, not with the ball, but if his foot followed through at the wrong angle.

First time I've seen it, bit of a daft thing to do but split second petulance and I doubt anything more will come of it.

I thought Swansea might have done you today so you got more than I expected out of the game.

My honest opinion is that he was just furious and lashed out aimlessly. He had just as much chance of hitting his team-mate as he did RVP. Either way it was reckless and deserving of a red.

Ref saw it and dealt with it so can't be punished retrospectively.

RVP is a snidey little runt who has done sh!t like that before so no sympathy from me.

I think you drew at Swansea and now your making a minor incident into a big deal. He booted the ball at Van Persie anybody can see that. Take it on the chin mate and move on.

Had the referee blown the whistle at that time? I thought he only tried to Jags hoof it away and failed. Looks accidental to me. I normally discount everything Fergie says, he's a great manager and all but his media soundbites are badly jarg.

Even if he meant it then its a bit of a gamesmanship. Its a mans game and theyre taking all of the snide and umph out of it. Trying to turn it too sterile.
