Got back from USA yesterday ( First time there)

Thanks for all the help and advice I got on here prior to the visit

We did 7 nights in NYC and 3 nights in DC

Highlights

NYC

Scottys Diner located on Lexington Avenue near our hotel
Empire State
Statue of Liberty
9/11 Memorial and visitors centre ( Very Moving)
Bronx Zoo
Several good Irish Bars
Times Square

DC

White House
Lincoln Memorial
WW2 Memorial
Holocaust Memorial ( Very Moving)
Arlington National Memorial ( Very Moving)
We had a fantastic holiday what a great Country and great people

Glad you enjoyed our country mate. I had a boss time when I was over the UK as well. Travel makes the world smaller.

Still jet Lagged mate otherwise would have been earlier

Wait till I get back into my stride properly ;)

In the meantime

Some bits before I sign off and watch some of the World Cup Footy

1. I saw a Liverpool fan in full kit plus shinpads lol Terminal 2 bar Manchester airport :eek:

2. Koppites in NYC are the same as the ones at home ' Its there year next year' had a right laugh in some of the bars the USA soccer fans have sussed them out :D

3. United are back ;)

Kopites are the same everywhere, just different accents. I also saw a Kopite in the Manchester terminal on my flight home in the kit. I think he was American though. No shinpads. Pity for him because I gave him a right kicking.

Watched loads mate had a good crack with the USA lads as well

Even got to see Freddy Mercury dining on Italian lol
