i think the above is talking about doing 45 mins on a train or in a car!
its a long walk when you get off the plane just to passport control, were the queues are crazy at times.
believe me you wont get out of the airport before 7,45 and thats if your flight is on time!
good luck anyway,if you make kick off,ill buy you a bottle of limincello.
off topic but iv heard they are putting away fans in the upper bullens after the split episode.

Hmm - does no-one remember the Besiktas fans in Lyon scenario, how about England in Dublin then? Troublesome fans in the top tier is not a winning idea - easier to contain and control at ground level. I dread to think what our lovely neighbours would do at the Europa League Final next year but it potentially revolves around another lengthy ban.

it was a steward who to me that at chelsea,he said it contained zenit fans a few years ago,
i know were you are coming from though.

Deal done! ;) but please let's go for an after match pint... limoncello is rubbish 80% of the times in Italy so i won't take the risk to drink it anywhere in the world, especially in place well known for pubs and lovely beer which is my fav drink ;)

There are flights from Manchester to Verona using both Jet2 (174) and Monarch (204) going on Wednesday and returning on Saturday. Verona is a 2 hour train journey away from the ground in Reggio Emilia. Verona is supposed to be lovely too

I do think so... it's ages Atalanta is not playing in europe and despite the distance with reggio emilia i am sure the sassuolo's stadium will be pretty packed that night. If anyone interested they are arranging for fans many buses from bergamo to sassuolo for a mere 22eur return.. of course you will be travelling with atalanta's fans but if you find cheap ryanair or blueair fligh to BGY airport (milan/bergamo) it may save you a bunch of pounds and hassle than flying to milan malpensa..

Do you have any info on these shuttles mate?

Thanks mate.
Arriving Bergamo Thur AM and returning Fri Lunchtime
the closest pick up point to Milan/Bergamo BGY airport is the following one:
Direttrice 15: (start point) Grassobbio - Via Colombo 18 partenza dalle ore 14.00
it is about 3km walking from the airport.
If you are not into walking then you may go for the following one (so you can see from outside also our "stadium"):
Direttrice 1: Bergamo Città - Stadio partenza dalle ore 14.00
from the airport you should take a couple of bus (one to bergamo station/centrum) and then another one to the stadium.
This is the main pickup point so you may feel a bit "alone" as they will probably be hundreds or thousands of fans departing from this point.

Ps. yesterday was the first sale day for a 3 EULeague Atalanta home matches global access dedicated to people holding seasonal ticked (about 14k). They sold almost 5 thousands of these 3 matches access in the very first day! So I feel reggio emilia's stadium will be really packed that day ;)

The buses will return to bergamo just after the match (i guess it will be just after midnight). So you have to plan also your sleeping unless it's ok to sleep rough at the airpor if you have an early flight.

ticket purchase in Italy update:
http://www.atalanta.it/site/stadio/biglietteria.html
it looks unrestricted sale will start (online and offline) just the day before the match on 13th september. It will continue also on 14th and at the stadium ticket counters if any ticket left (i guess south end is fully reserved to Everton's fans)
Taking the mickey with those prices as well.

Side stands (i.e. like Bullens and Main Stand) officially going for €65 up to €200 with hefty increases if purchased on matchday. (Atalanta end seats are €25.) I take it that Sud is your end and Nord is reserved for Everton official sales?

yes sorry for the mistake. Sud is Atalanta fans and Nord is Everton fans. Atalanta confirmed 4000 tickets are reserved for away fans in tribuna nord.

I guess most of you are already looking forward to coming to Italy for next week match. So do I and (so far) more than 10k fans from bergamo who had bought already their 3 EL matches seasontickets. Here is a craze about tickets also for matches abroad already. It seems all tickets went in the hands of one single local agency for all matches so anyone like us who has already settled their trip abroad on their own are a bit scared not to get the tickets. Does anyone know when tickets for november's match will be sold by Everton Fc? Do you think they will sell them also to foreign people/fans? Thanks for your help in advance

I wish every toffee fan coming to Italy a nice trip and a lovely time and match here: "beer and wine are nice and cheap, food is lovely in Reggio Emilia, so enjoy it all". Weather forecast seems ok for thursday (sunny, partially clouded) without rain which has been pouring in the last couple of days. Yesteday's match vs. Sassuolo wasn't played greatly by Atalanta but few key players were on the bench to rest a little. We won at the end with a bit of luck and few good save by our goalkeeper in the last minutes. Pretty sure it won't be an easy game for Everton as enthusiasm is really high here and about 15k fans are ready to go to Mapei Stadium. See you there!
