Good idea that actually...let's get through tonight first.
Yes, I just thought I'd throw a little cognitive dissonance into the hitherto anodyne mix: keep us all on our synaptic toes...we cannot afford an 'Everton that'Don't like that last line one bit. Not exactly a comforting thought
nevertheless my DownOnTheUpside conspiracy theorist would-be: you suspect the grass might be greener on the other side of the knoll....it's a conspiracy by the Manc UEFA!
...Sorry forgot I wasn't on rawk then
we get through today and we're in the group stage right?
This. Far too much counting chickens for my liking....let's get through tonight first.
Not quite, if we get through tonight we then have a play off round before the group stage.

Latest projections
1 Should we win we will be seeded for Round 4.
2. Should we progress to the Group Stages we are presently projected for 24th (of 48) place - putting us last in Pot 2. With 18 teams ranked above us also needing to qualify and also 8 teams ranked above us seeded to qualify for the CL group stages (Olympiakos, Celtic, Kopenhavn, Sevilla, Napoli, Liverpool, CSKA Moscow and Sporting Lisbon) we could yet drop into Pot 3 - but that would need more of the 8 CL Qualifying teams mentioned above losing (and dropping into Europa Group Stages) pushing us down the ranking list than those from the 18 competing with us, see below, losing in Europa QRs 3 (or 4) lifting us up the ranking list.
Europa qualifiers ranked above us these teams are (scores, 2nd leg venue in brackets): Zenit (2-0 h), Athletic Bilbao (1-1 h), Fenerbahce (2-1 h), Sparta Prague (0-2 h), AC Milan (1-0 h), PSV (0-1 a), Braga (1-1 h), Gent (1-1 a), PAOK (1-1 h), Krasnodar (2-1 a) and Bordeaux (2-1 a) (all presently in Europa 3 with us) plus the current round of CL losers that are ranked above us who now play in QR4 namely: Dynamo Kyiv, Ajax, Plzen, Salzburg, Club Brugge, Ludogorets and BATE.
Projected opponents for QR4 therefore are: Maccabi Tel Aviv (1-0 a), SC Freiburg (1-0 a), Astra Giurgiu (who beat West Ham twice, 0-0 a), Austria Vienna, Midtjylland (2-3 h), Partizan Belgrade, Panathinaikos (1-0 a), Maritimo (0-0 h), Rosenberg, Hadjuk Split (0-0 h), Sheriff Tiraspol, Dinamo Minsk (0-2 h), Lech Poznan (0-0 h), Apollon Limassol (1-2 h), Mlada Boleslav (2-1 a), AEK Athens, FH Hafnar, Viitorul Constanta, Varda Skopje, Ostersunds (1-0 a), Shkendija Tetovo (1-2 h), Suduva (list to be amended after Europa QR3 is complete)
Teams in italics have qualified for QR4 having lost in CL QR3 - two teams in bold have won Europa QR3 ties.
Additionally, ranked below us and potentially falling into the unseeded bracket: Legia Warsaw, Olympic Marseille (4-2 a), Dinamo Zagreb (2-1 a)
Seeded teams going into 2nd legs with a losing score (or playing away having drawn at home) - Sparta Prague, PSV, Gent, Astra Giurgiu, Mittjylland, Dinamo Minsk, Apollon Limassol, Shkendija (8 of the 27 remaining ties)
Great work
