Eurodisney= bit on the expensive side and only stay a max of 3 nights
not worth the cost IMO
however
I would recomend legoland in windsor if the kids are all aged below 12 had an absoloute ball there last march kids are still hounding us to go back.
Went to Alton Towers in the summer of 1985 but it's like chalk and cheese now, the Corkscrew has gone, and I think half of the rides and such are no longer in existence.
It was amazing back then, you really appreciate things when you're younger, I don't think I would get the same thrill as I did before, haven't been back since.
I remember the queues were madness, we were there for like six hours but only got on a handful of rides, there was a ride called the Black Hole, it was one of the most famous rides in the country, and was Towers biggest attraction bar the Corkscrew, it took like two hours to finally get on it, it was that bad.
Never been to EuroDisney, if I want that, I'll take a guided tour of Anfield.

I've never been to EuroDisney, did go to Alton Towers around '85 so I'm not much help so far. Legoland is good for young kids, if you find a place to stay overnight Thorpe Park is not too far away. Windsor Castle may be an option depending on the age of your kids. That should cover a long weekend. If you can slide away on a Saturday I'll meet you for a lunchtime pint.
3 young kids so fancy mickey mouse myself what do you all think
Went to a place called Drayton Manor theme park around the same time, not too far from Alton, Staffordshire or somewhere near there,
it was great, like a minature Chessington, water rides, theme zones, but it was a long time ago, there was a river trip through a forest or jungle, with crocs and gators, (imitation) and all kinds of weird Aztec sculptures.
It's still there, but it has changed a lot since back then, well worth a visit of anyones time.
Welcome to Drayton Manor
