He’s right though. Imagine Johnson’s big red dial, claiming this as a victory for good old English values or something equally absurd. Should be enough to put any right-minded individual off.
He doesn’t even know the rules of football as evidenced when he tried rugby tackling some poor old lad in a charity game.

I really can't understand how anyone could allow their decision on which football team to support to be dictated by what Boris Johnson or his government say or do. If we ever got to a Champion's League final and Johnson said beforehand "Good luck to Everton tonight. The government are willing you to win" would that make you think "Oh no. I can't support Everton now"?

The whole idea of England football team being tied into the government or Tory party is absurd. I've supported England in tournaments since 1966. If we manage to win this tournament I think it would be a victory for multi-culturalism and decency as much as footballing skill. It's the most likeable England team I can remember. Supporting them in no way says you support this government and if anyone is weak-willed enough to think it does they need to give their head a good wobble.

Everton bias aside would you really ever take Kane off to put DCL up front ? Even if Kane was having a shocker id still have more faith in him slotting than i would if i brought on DCL.

DCL would hold the ball up and do the "same" job Kane would, none of the others are doing that.

I recall the excitement of Mexico 86 when 4 of the England starting XI were from Everton.
I would have liked to have seen Eton Dom joining Peter Andre (Pickford) and I think Snail Keane and Gurnalot (Jonjoe Kenny) have been overlooked purely because they are from Everton.
Mexico ended in ‘the hand of God’ tears ...and England is likely to lose again tonight. If an England team stacked with FOUR mighty Blues cannot win, what chance does the team with only one have.
I shan’t bother watching but I hope that whatever team you support, whether it be any of the British Isles teams, I hope they select more Everton players. Our club is a massive one and should have greater representation at the top level. I suspect Kopites are behind that
