Germany was the best we could have hoped for. A side that struggled to put Hungary away is a side we can beat. I want to see Foden and Grealish dropping balls on them like they’re bomber command over Dresden.
France, Germany and Portugal all struggled to put Hungary away tbf

You just know Southgate is going to go all out defensive . Calling it now. Trippier at left back, Henderson into a 3 man midfield, Kane Sterling and a n other up front, and half a billion pounds worth of brilliant young talent sat on the bench.

Probably but would be nice to actually have a go. Foden and Grealish would give Hummels a nightmare.

They also play a 3-5-2? We could match them but try and nullify their wingbacks by pushing our own up and exploiting the spaces behind with our forwards.

Don't mind playing back 3 as long as we play attacking full backs (Sako and James) and just 1 holding midfielder. We can fit 3 stars in behind Kane then. 3 from Grealish, Sancho, Foden, Sterling and Mount.

They would cause anybody problems plus we've got great options from the bench too.

To be honest it would be a failure we’re England not to at least reach the final now. Home advantage and playing the worst German team in years with a crowd of 45,000 cheering them on, and subsequent home advantage through the next rounds… questions will need asking if they fail again.

It’s like having a second Everton in your life.

I think Germany is man for man a better team overall tbh

Is the answer Rafael Benitez?
