I don't see what this would achieve other than humiliating Jagielka. He's already doing the job of a great captain, giving him the title won't change much.

I think it often gets forgotten that Jagielka wasn't Bobby's choice as captain. In true arrogant style David Moyes appointed him as Everton's next captain when Phil Neville announced his retirement, even though it seems highly likely that Moyes already knew he wasn't going to be manager.

Jags doesn't deserve to lose the captaincy but it's great that Eto'o is allowed to have such a big influence in team talks & on the pitch. What a great player, love him.

I can't believe it when the commentator goes Eto'o to Hibbert. I bet Hibbert never thought that would happen even when he's playing FIFA!!

Jags is a good bloke...but he isn't a leader. But until he retires, he will be Everton's captain so any discussion on the matter is somewhat moot.

Eto'o was the only Everton player who went into that not mentally beaten before the game even started its a shame he couldn't convince his team mates in the warm up

I wonder what went tru jags mind when he sees eto give a storming team talk before the match. Has he ever gave someone a bolloking. Granted he might do it in the changies but Have never seen jags get emotional during a match. He ain't a Roy Keane and I know who I'd rather go into battle with.
