Massive game for us tonight and a great chance to qualify for a 1st major tournament since world cup 2002, way too long for my liking.

We couldnt have asked for a better draw but im sure the estonians will feel the same. Both teams rely on physicality rather than silky skills, but the fact that the faroe islands beat these:blink: means we should have way to much for them over 2 legs. On the flipside of that they did beat serbia to 2nd in their group so they must have something about them.

Over 3,000 irish fans are over there for this with only 1,500 tickets between them, im sure we will crank the noise levels up as we usually do, and every bar owner in tallinn will wake up a happy man in the morning, win lose or draw.

Lansdowne road is sold out for the return leg on tuesday, and i have taken the day off work wednesday to celebrate into the night( all chickens counted) whenb) we qualify.

Every major final is a poorer place without our fans there, so heres hoping the poles and ukranians see 20,000 paddies take over there cities next summer.

Cheers PB, trappatoni frustates the fcuk out of me with his tactics but the hard watching over the last few years will be worthwhile if we get through. It wont be pretty tonight but the estonians havent kept a clean sheet in the group, while we have only conceded 1 in 8/9 games so i think we will do it. We are 7/5 with paddy power tonight to win the game which isnt bad in my eyes as we have been better away from home in the group.

Cant wait for this one, on paper we should come away with the desired result.

For whatever reason, we always seem to struggle to put lesser teams away, i am not under estimating Estonia for one second.

Give us any of the top ten and your always guaranteed a performance from the Irish, a bit like Ebepton ffs!!!

If we dont get screwed over by appalling refereeing dicisions we should be grand.

I cant stand international football and the creepy bastards it attracts, but I hope Ireland go through and make up for getting robbed by the French in the last WC play off. Especially for big Dunny.

Superb fans. They took Suwon over in 2002 and not a hint of trouble even after Spain knocked them out on pens.

Ireland really could have made the final that year. If they won that pen shootout only Korea and a gash Germany would have stood in their way of the final against Brazil.
