Essential PC Programmes

I use Bitdefender these days. Properly good bit of software, but a bit pricey compared to the others.

At work for our VoIP core, we use Sophos UTM, and deploy RED's around the customer sites for a secure tunnel.

Some other programs that get installed on every computer I use......

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
CCleaner
Putty
CPU-Z
HWMonitor
ArcticVPN

Heard bitdefender was good, ill have a look at that, seen a couple of shouts now for CCleaner too so Ill add it to my list

Putty etc Ill only put on if the need arises, I set up my own VPN on a VPS a while ago so it was handy then but the cheapo server I was on has bit the dust now and I think I need a better VPN solution, they all seem to have pros and cons, none of them perfect, Im thinking of using a second router, putting wrt-dd on it and setting the VPN up directly on that router

I'm actually seriously thinking of not using a free antivirus, it seems keeping your system patched up to date is more important these days (along with using your brain of course) - I was just going to use malwarebytes and something like the ublock origin plug in on chrome

f.lux is good, I plan on installing that

I usually use Ninite as well when I first set up to easily install a few bits a bobs

Tbh, I cant be bothered doing rebuild yet but want to get rid of any pre-installed bloatware, I was looking at something like Decrapifier

Kodi Im already covered on through a fire tv box into all the tellys in the house

Memu sounds interesting, Ill have a look at that as well as setting up a VM
Best virus protector BIT Defender;)
F.lux. Great for using your laptop before bed.

I've got a Mac though so I don't need all this antivirus stuff @chicoazul
Honestly think this works, can barely keep my eyes open, even on key scenes in the porn I'm watching, but yeah great app for those who struggle to switch off
