Mikey, I will hold you personally responsible if they sack Ronald only to get in somebody to 'keep us up'

We are not going to be worse off than Brighton, Palace, Huddersfield, Swansea or Bournemouth come the end of the season. A very poor start to the season doesn't warrant that kind of panicing.

We need to sack him when we have an actual proper replacement lined up. One to take us forward, not just to sort out a mess.

Well I will hold you personally responsible if we keep dropping like a stone under Koeman, don't replace him till it's too late, and then go down

How's that for an agreement?

I want him gone since his first day on the job Mikey, so the sooner the better for me...........what I don't want is the club getting in a short term manager just to handle some unrealistic relegation scenario. It is worrying that fans are already seeming to warm to that idea. The club should be getting pelters if they sack and get in a Fat Sam type.

Sack now and replace intelligently with somebody who can sort us out now AND move us forward over the next few seasons. Preferably without Moshiris input.

whats the point in having pace down the sides aka coleman and bolasie, whom I expect to take 6 weeks or so to get up to speed anyway, when there is no-one to cross the ball into ??

What's wrong with installing a firefighter on a short contract to get us to safety and then getting the proper manager in the summer?

That's all I'm suggesting

Would it really be that bad to have Big Sam for 4-5 months and then getting rid once he's served his purpose?

Because I don't think we are anywhere close to being in that situation, and I don't want the club thinking short term anymore. Koeman for me was a short term manager. The more I think about it, I think they got him to steady the ship and ill-advisedly bigged him up as some kind of star manager.

I personally think that getting to safety and then making the next appointment at the end of the season is better than canning Koeman now and appointing someone on a long contract when we have no idea if we'll be in the same situation later down the road

If it's short termism that you hate, then sacking Koeman and scrambling for the next manager mid season is a very risky procedure to engage in because there's every chance we'll end up with another Koeman situation. It would be better to make the decision on the new full-time manager with a calmer head. Henceforth, it makes more sense in the long term to make a short term decision now, with a view to the long game with the real new manager in the summer

To me, the best option is to get rid of Koeman, promote Unsworth or sign a firefighter in on a short deal till the seasons close, arrange for a new manager to start following the end of the World Cup (preferably Joachim Loew)

Just wait till Anfield if Bolasie plays and we've made the right managerial appointment

He's Kopite Kryptonite
Lol, Kopite Kryptonite best metaphor on GOT in a long time. Club should consider this added to NSNO.
Hope he and the new manager turn out to be just that, he is/was blindingly quick just didn't seem to have the silky skills required after beating his oppo for pace.

yeah Id be fine with that scenario, although we will have to disagree on any fears of relegation battles. In general I am only okay with sacking and hiring in any situation, whether now or in the summer, if they have calmly planned for the replacement. They can hire now and it doesn't necessarily mean it would be a scramble, you would hope they can do it competently and have been thinking on it a while.

Bayern have just sacked a title winner, United the club who never sacked managers as it wasn't the united way got rid of one after less than a season and another after a trophy win. They're probably the two clubs in Europe with a reputation for managerial patience and 'class' yet both pulled the plug immediately. Clubs below us, as seen this week with Leicester will chop under performance immediately as they have no qualms about tradition etc. Then there's classic Everton, hiding behind having a classy tradition of giving managers time to excuse our complete lack of ambition. There is literally no excuse. The appointment of Martinez was embarrassing as was the short list that year. We must be the only club who 'interviews' a number of managers (which serious manager would ever agree to that?) and then to give Martinez three seasons was criminal.
