Eni Aluko

See she’s been piping up again recently, this time biting the hand the feeds her to a certain extent, basically accusing Ian Wright’s involvement in covering woman’s football of blocking females from broadcast roles.
Personally I think it’s a ridiculous comment and Ian Wrights involvement generates more attention and viewership of the woman’s game than if it was her for example.
Ian Wright not having any of her subsequent apology.

I think she’s been exceptionally fortunate to do any presenting at all, as she talks absolute garbage anytime I’ve seen or heard her opinions on anything.

"Wants to move on" but feels need to make a post about it to drag it out. Ian Wright has a huge profile and is going in with both feet. Given his background fighting against racism he should know a lot better.

Probably upset all you millennial but........ easy solution, have women commentate and sit on the panel and debate the women's games (same for women's athletics, rugby, cricket etc.)
Have the men do the same with the men's sport.
They won't have anyone hogging their air time then will they?
I won't have to put up with the sh1t they talk either.
Any of our American friends out there, is it the same with your sport on tv as well?

happy to see female pundits and commentators in the game, doesnt bother me

used to feel for aluko and she definitely doesnt deserve the abuse and harassment she’s had from barton

but going for wright just shows she’s a pillock and it seems shes not a great pundit either

gender nothing to do with it, she’s just as bad as owen, merson, ferdinand etc

bad craic mate, if you’re saying every woman will talk [Poor language removed]. not really on is it

theyve got a right to do the job and many of them are more articulate and clued in than their male counterparts

aluko is just a bad pundit and seemingly a bit of a nob too, but it’s probably coming from years of abuse and grievance

This is my take on it. I don't get care about gender: if you can do the job, you can do the job. The real issue here is that she can't do said job well in the slightest.

plenty of male footballers can’t do the job either

in all honesty the real issue is education

most footballers, especially from the bygone era didnt properly complete their education

so you get the likes of rio and merson just blabbering on

they are not intelligent people

much rather have a coach or a journo on as a pundit than an ex pro. that horncastle was on tnt talking about atlanta and everyone was blown away, it should be the norm

footballers are people who’ve had very good physical gifts, not people who’ve had to do years of academic or mental training and research and work to be good at what they do, such as journos and coaches

but instead we just get names and bandits like murphy and joe cole

He surely has a right to reply on the apology though doesn’t he?
Suspect it’s the only comment he will make on it, and she’s basically courted it.
She made a personal comment about him, accusing him of gender blocking in her chosen profession, after he’s stood up and defended her and the woman’s game on more than one occasion over those very same issues. Realised it’s out of line and tried to row back on it.

Tbf he could have used mainstream platforms to say what he’s said, as she did, but he didn’t.

If indeed it’s his last word on it, then surely he is moving on wouldn’t you say?

…I honestly have no idea who this lady is but I think some of the women analysts are very good in footy and in cricket. The exception is Dalglish’s daughter, there’s no way she’s on the telly if it wasn’t for her Father.
She’s a terrible pundit, one of her corkers was talking about Richarlison scoring 19 goals in 40 games before saying ‘do the math, that a goal a game’.
During an interview she also described calling other clubs when she was a DoF somewhere (Villa iirc) and asking them to put false bids in for players to prompt her employers to up their bids for the same player. NB this wasn’t on some sort of expose, just somewhere between being indiscreet and admitting to fraud.
Loads more too, but it’s everyone else that’s the cause of her woes.
As others said there was also a particularly unsavoury incident with Joey Barton going out of his way on Twitter to dig her out which she successfully (and rightfully) sued him over.

I remember that (about upping bids) and Simon Jordan called her out on it and said "well you should be in big trouble for doing that and I don't think anyone would employ again if what you've admitted to doing is true" and she couldn't back pedal quick enough trying to rephrase what she meant

Bit of context,

She's always been a horrific person, born with privilege yet has a history of playing the racism card.

She's doing more harm to the women's football and black community with her behaviour. She's a toxic person.

If you can be bothered watch this, at one point she answered a question about trans playing football with her mum coming from nothing (she didn't) and how everyone's racist to her.

She's a narcissist judging by this clip.
