I'll be honest, I dont really give a rats arse about England. Once they get rid of all the players I hate, maybe then I will.
i remember the 1986 world cup all the red ****e were the same, because gary stevens tricky trev, reidy and links were playing trust me every evertonian was gutted when that cheating coke headed kunt put england out ,and make no mistake we would of won it as well only for that fat kunt ,Same here. I'll watch if Jags or Baines are playing to see how they do. Otherwise...forget it
Yes but this time (more than any other time), we're gonna win it, aren't we?I sometimes watch the old England matches on ESPN Classic. That's when most of us WERE interested in the England team. Watching the highlights on Sportsnight on Wednesday. And the old Home Internationals. Like some people have already said on here, It's not England they can't support. It's the players they have no time for. I can't wait for next summer when Capello picks near enough the same squad of players who have failed in the last few tournaments.
The last time I cared about england was the 2006 world cup. And they were gash.
The sooner the golden generation retires the better, but just about every player waiting to replace them is a nob.
Stopped caring about England a long time ago. We have to face facts though. We've had some good managers down the years, and whilst Capello probably peaked as a coach a decade ago he still has won every trophy going. The fact is the players simply aren't very good. The PL hypes people beyond belief. You have guys like Silva, Mata and of course Torres who have been amongst the best players in our league in recent times, yet they can't get in the Spain side. Even Fabregas was on the bench in most of their games. English players are horribly overpaid and horribly overhyped.
