With the game against Montenegro coming up, Gareth Southgate has dropped Raheem Sterling from the team after a clash with Joe Gomez at St George's park. Would've been interesting to see what he'd have done if it was a must win game.

Apparently Gomez held up 3 and 1 fingers as Raheem walked in to the canteen. He got Gomez in a headlock and knuckle rubbed his head.. all sorted now. The press having a field day with it now when it's a none story..

Makes me laugh all this media hype. Little spat between two players and all and sundry get involved. Tom Lawrence did something 100 times worse and no calls from the media to drop him from his national team.

That would be the pinnacle of hilarity if I’m being honest. Imagine the weeks and weeks of hype and buildup followed by anger and humiliation lol lol

This must happen all the time on a training field.
The fact it's happened in the private areas is maybe what makes it different ?
Southgate going out on a limb dishing out a one game ban on Raheem.
If this was a world cup semi, I'd love to see how principled he would be.

Looks more like a scratch on Gomes face though apparantly.

These lesser teams should have only one group stage with the top two qualifying it is a disgrace they get to enter at this group stage....
