I see a Euro '88 coming. Out in the group stages.

Not bashing England, but that team is all over the place.

And they refuse to play Baines. Odd.

I can honestly say that I despise the England national team and haven't had any desire for them to win since France 1998, when I was foolhardy young idiot teenager.

Actually, "despise" is the wrong word. To me, it's just a non-entity that occasionally injures Everton players for no apparent reason.
 
For me, England are just there, if they win Good for them, if they lose oh well. Like watching any game not involving Everton really. i'm not bothered who wins when England play like I'm not bothered when Preston play Burnley for example.

Yep, that sums up how I feel as well, much better than I described it. Except I add the caveat that injuring Everton players like Rodwell is really, really annoying.
 
Out of tournaments they bore and annoy me in equal measure. If they qualify for a tournament it gets funny. There's nothing like the sound of the air escaping out of that balloon when they fail against 'inferior' opposition.
