Phil Neville Superstar

Player Valuation: £35m
Personally, I'd love to see England host the 2018 World Cup and I do believe that we will win the bid.

What would we do for the 2 years prior to it though as we would automatically qualify so would we just play friendlies?

Also, anybody on here old enough to remember '66?

My bad :(

*edits post and hangs head in shame.

Are they even bidding for it? I doubt they'd win the bid because it weren't so long ago that U.S.A did host it, 1994.

The Premier League will stretch the season to 48 games and make even more cash.

More than likely, friendlies against top class opposition. What they should do is bring back the Home Internationals to get some tournament mentality back. I reckon the Confed Cup the year before the WC stands the competing nation in good stead.

I believe South Africa is hosting the 2010 World Cup :P.

USA will hopefully host in 2018

you in no way whatsoever deserve it in either 2018 or 2022 after having it not that long ago, Mexico only got it the 2nd time as they took over at the 11th hour after Columbia had it taken off them. Countries wait a very long time to get it and on that basis you shouldn't get it and the automatic qualifying place. I'd rather see oz than the u.s. get it.

I agree, would be a complete joke if the US got it again, when did England last host it? Ive forgotten the year......

1066, guy called Harold up front.
Bayeux Munich won, some ginger shot one from range, straight as an arrow it went. After bigging himself up in Gazzetta del Hastings it was one in the eye for Harry.

Last time they wanted an ad break in each half, the way Blurter works they would probably get it incorporated into the tournament by then, as the already senile 'arl tw@ gets ready to hang up his ticket allocation.

btw, had anyone even heard of a "Bid Book" before a couple of months ago ? let alone a big pompous ceremony to hand the thing in.

USA will get it in 2022

They'll only have to beat Qatar and Australia to do it (from what I have heard)
